Large Political Organization:

In the second half of 2004 I designed and managed the website for "Scientists and Engineers for Change (whose) purpose is to ensure that issues affected by science and technology are fully explored in the 2004 Presidential election and that the nation's scientists and engineers recognize the stakes involved and actively participate in the political process....Our founding members include a dozen Nobel Laureates, two former Science Advisors to the President, and a National Medal of Technology winner who is one of the "fathers of the Internet"." (Please click images to visit each site.)

The Redesign:

The organization has since become Scientists and Engineers for America (not my site). I have created a complete redisign of the original site and today I would incorporate new design techniques and technology. Many organizations require a blog added to their site. I use the latest Movable Type blog software which is easy for clients to manage and update with dynamic content. Please feel free to sample each page of this fully functional test site.

Political Campaign:

In 2006 I ran for the Democratic Central Committee for Howard County Maryland. I designed my own site to give visitors more information about myself and the important issues of my campaign. I provided "contact" forms that created comma-delimited text files that are easy to load into spreadsheets (Excel) or email clients (Outlook). I also incorporated a blog (Movable Type) and a contribution page.

Blog:

In 2002, I created The Fighting Democrat. Originally designed in phpNuke it had much in common with the original SmirkingChimp.com which was the prime inspiration. Today I use Movable Type and have created a pure blog interface.
